The UNITRONIC® LiYCY 8x0.25 is an 8-core, shielded PVC data cable featuring color-coded conductors and an overall braided shield. It is engineered for use in electronic control, computer, and office equipment systems where protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) is required.

Product Description

The UNITRONIC® LiYCY 8x0.25 serves as a reliable solution for data transmission in applications requiring a compact cable with effective interference suppression. The cable is constructed with fine-wire strands of bare copper, ensuring flexibility and ease of routing in tight spaces. Each of the eight cores has a cross-section of 0.25 mm² and is insulated with a special PVC compound, with color-coding according to DIN 47100 standards for simplified identification during installation. To protect signal integrity against external electrical noise and crosstalk, the cable features an overall wrap of plastic-coated aluminum foil and a braid of tinned copper wires. The entire assembly is encased in a flame-retardant, gray (RAL 7032) PVC outer jacket that offers good resistance to common industrial chemicals. With a temperature range of $-40^\circ\text{C}$ to $+80^\circ\text{C}$ for fixed installation and $-5^\circ\text{C}$ to $+70^\circ\text{C}$ for occasional flexing, this cable is ideal for instrumentation, measurement, and low-voltage control circuits in automation technology and complex machinery.
